Claude is Anthropic's AI assistant accessed at claude.ai, designed for writing, analysis, and coding in a conversational workflow. It is commonly used to draft and revise documents, summarize and structure information, and iterate on code with explanations that make tradeoffs easier to review. Claude is offered with a free tier and paid plans for higher usage, including a Claude Pro option shown publicly on the Claude site, so you can start without procurement and upgrade only if message limits become a constraint. For organizations and developers, Claude also has a separate Claude Developer Platform with a REST API, including a Messages endpoint, which is a better fit when you want programmatic integration rather than a chat only workflow.
